Now that you have reviewed the self-study modules, answer the following questions to assess your knowledge of vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases.
The first group discussion activity will address baseline self-assessment results and the topics presented in the self-study modules, including the burden of vaccine-preventable diseases, vaccination recommendations, and strategies for discussing vaccination.
This Group Challenge activity features an adult who is hesitant to receive recommended vaccinations. This scenario will allow discussion of communication strategies to help overcome vaccine hesitancy.
In light of the information reviewed and discussed during this program, please share an action plan that you will implement to improve client/patient education on vaccines and develop communication strategies to overcome vaccine hesitancy.
The second group discussion activity will feature discussion of a scenario in which a client/patient has not received all recommended vaccinations due to misconceptions about vaccines leading to vaccine hesitancy. How would you address concerns, misconceptions, and vaccine hesitancy?
