Yakir Muszkat

Henry Ford Hospital
Senior Staff Physician/Medical Director of Intestinal Transplant and Rehabilitation Program

I completed a clinical nutrition and gastroenterology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NY in 1995 and have been with the Henry Ford Health System since 1995. I joined the Intestinal Transplant team in 2014 and have been the Medical Director of the Intestinal Transplant and Intestinal Rehabilitation program since then. I run a multidisciplinary weekly patient clinic for these complex patients with intestinal failure at Henry Ford Hospital. The clinic includes a core group of gastroenterologists, hepatologists, nurse clinical intestinal transplant coordinator and a dietitian. We also have access to intestinal transplant surgeons, transplant psychologists, social workers, pharmacists and our TPN and home care team as clinically appropriate.
